My inspiration for Franklin Tennessee Candle Company

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and in my early 20’s I moved to Tennessee to start a new chapter in my life. To say adjusting was hard on me was a small understatement. But I managed...it took time but after awhile the south grew on me as well did the town of Franklin Tennessee.

Franklin Tennessee is a rich town filled with Civil War relics, a charming historic downtown and in a nutshell some of of the best, restaurants, shops, and people I’ve ever met.

As my years in Franklin went on I married a true southern man and I really began my journey diving into the culture & cuisine.

I learned how to make banana pudding, collard greens, biscuits (no squirrel gravy). I visited all the historic sites and just breathed it all in. Sometimes I could envision the smells that must’ve been brewing in the kitchens of some of these antebellum homes back in the day.

One day after candle making as a hobby I thought how great it would be to recreate the scents of the old South in Franklin and share them with others.

So that is how this journey and this candle company was created.
